This Refund and Return Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases made on the website www.rootcradlehome.com (“Website”), which is owned and operated by PLANT FOLKS PTE. LTD. (“we”, “us”, or “our”), a company incorporated in Singapore with company registration number 202325493D. This Policy is formulated in accordance with the statutory consumer protection laws of the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK), as well as the commercial regulations of Singapore. It defines the reciprocal rights and obligations between the merchant and the consumer regarding cancellations, returns, and refunds.

1. STATUTORY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (14-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD)

Pursuant to European consumer protection legislation, consumers residing within the European Union or the United Kingdom possess a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within a period of 14 days without assigning any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 days from the day on which the consumer, or an indicated third party other than the carrier, acquires physical possession of the products.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must transmit an unequivocal statement declaring the decision to withdraw from the contract via email to: plant@rootcradlehome.com. Our customer support team will acknowledge receipt of this request within 48 hours.

Upon valid notification of withdrawal, we shall reimburse the payments received from the consumer, including the initial standard delivery costs (excluding any supplementary costs arising if the consumer selected a premium or non-standard delivery method). This reimbursement will be executed without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we are informed of the decision to withdraw.

The consumer must return the products to our specified warehouse address listed in Section 5 without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days from the date the withdrawal notification was communicated to us. The deadline is deemed satisfied if the products are dispatched prior to the expiration of the 14-day return window.

Cost and Condition of Returns: The consumer shall bear the direct cost of returning the products to our warehouse in Singapore. To qualify for a refund under this section, items must be dispatched in their original packaging, remain entirely unused, and be in the identical condition in which they were delivered.

2. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR NON-CONFORMING ITEMS

If a product is delivered in a damaged or defective condition, or fails to conform significantly to the order specifications, the consumer is entitled to statutory remedies.

In such circumstances, the consumer must notify our customer service team via email at plant@rootcradlehome.com within 30 days of receipt. The email must contain:

  • The original order reference number.
  • A precise description of the defect or damage.
  • Verifiable photographic evidence explicitly demonstrating the damage or non-conformity.

Following assessment and validation of the photographic evidence by our support team, we will initiate either a full refund or a replacement shipment, in accordance with the consumer’s preference. The consumer is exempt from returning the physically damaged or defective item to our warehouse, provided that the submitted photographic evidence is conclusive and satisfactory.

3. TRANSIT DELAYS AND DELIVERY INVESTIGATIONS

We contract with priority courier networks, including DHL Priority, FedEx Priority, and UPS Priority, to perform international transit to European territories.

Estimated transit timelines are communicated during the order process. In the event that a shipment exceeds the standard estimated transit window, the customer must submit a non-delivery report to plant@rootcradlehome.com.

Upon receipt of a non-delivery notification, we will initiate a formal investigation with the respective carrier network (DHL, FedEx, or UPS). The duration of this inquiry is determined by the internal protocols of the carrier. Following the formal conclusion of the investigation and based upon the verified findings regarding the status and location of the consignment, we will determine the appropriate resolution, which encompasses either a complete refund or an immediate reshipment of the products.

4. SPECIFIED PAYMENT METHODS AND REFUND EXECUTION

All approved refunds are processed and credited exclusively back to the original funding source utilized by the consumer during the checkout process.
